DISTORTED REALITY — RETURNS & REFUND POLICY (AUSTRALIA)

Thank you for shopping with Distorted Reality. We stand by the quality of our products and comply fully with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).


Your Rights Under the ACL

You're entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if your item:

  • Arrives faulty

  • Is damaged in transit

  • Has a major defect

  • Is significantly different from its description

These rights apply regardless of any other store policy.


Change of Mind or Wrong Size

All items are made to order and printed individually for your purchase.

Because of this, we do not accept returns or refunds for:

  • Change of mind

  • Incorrect size chosen

  • Disliking the fit, design, or colour

  • No longer wanting the item

Please check our size chart carefully before ordering.


Incorrect Size Supplied or Manufacturing Error

If the wrong size was supplied by us or the manufacturer, or the garment significantly differs from standard AS Colour sizing, we will replace it at no cost.

To begin a return, contact:

within 7 days of delivery and include:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Photos of the garment (including tags if relevant)

If approved, we will provide a prepaid return label and instructions.
Items sent back without approval will not be accepted.


Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately at:

Include:

  • Your order number

  • A short description of the issue

  • Clear photos of the item (and packaging if damaged)

Once assessed, we may offer:

  • A replacement

  • A refund

  • A store credit (where required by law)

Return or replacement shipping costs are fully covered for approved faults.


Return Conditions

To qualify for a replacement or refund:

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition

  • Tags and packaging (if provided) should be included

  • The issue must relate to manufacturing, printing, or shipping

Claims may be declined if the item shows signs of:

  • Wear or washing

  • Alteration

  • Misuse


Cancellations & Order Changes

Orders can only be cancelled or changed before production begins (usually within 2–12 hours of purchase).

as soon as possible with your order number.

Once production begins, cancellations or alterations are not possible.


Presale Orders

Presale items are made specifically for your order.
Estimated production and fulfilment times are listed on each product page.

Reasonable production delays do not qualify for refunds unless the product becomes unavailable.


Returned Parcels (Unclaimed / Wrong Address)

If an order is returned due to:

  • An incorrect address, or

  • Failure to collect from the post office

A re-shipping fee will apply.

Non-Returnable Items (unless faulty)

  • Worn or used apparel

  • Custom or made-to-order items (all drops)

  • Presale items

  • Gift cards


Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return.
If approved, refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days.
